Intensive Outpatient Services for Adults

Turning Point Care Center provides intensive outpatient substance abuse treatment for those who need it most, when they need it most, in a supportive environment.

According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, The misuse and abuse of alcohol, tobacco, illicit drugs, and prescription medications affect the health and well-being of millions of Americans.

Excessive drug or alcohol use can increase a person’s risk of stroke, cirrhosis of the liver, alcoholic hepatitis, cancer and other serious health conditions. Turning Point Care Center provides the treatment services needed to help adults overcome addiction while promoting living a healthier lifestyle.

Receiving treatment for alcohol and drug addiction at a detox center as quickly as possible can even help prevent long-term medical issues.

The outpatient treatment programs at Turning Point Care Center are designed specifically for each individual’s needs and goals.

Men’s & Women’s Intensive Outpatient Program

Our gender specific intensive outpatient programs for men and women are designed to be a long-term treatment program to present patients with the opportunity to learn, develop and utilize various skills conducive to living a healthy and sober life as they reintegrate into the community.

Our intensive outpatient program also features community housing available for rent. This helps provide additional support and guidance as patients are given the opportunity to start practicing coping skills and new behaviors in an environment closer to the “real world” as a way to transition more safely.

A typical length of stay at IOP extends from 90 days to 10 months. Patients attend three process groups each morning and one Psychoeducational group.

Our IOP has certified counselors who are not only dedicated and committed to providing quality care, but also who are either fully licensed or licensed associates under the Georgia Composite Board.

Turning Point Care Center also has a team of clinicians and Support Staff (administrators and MHTS) who each have their own unique style and skill set that enables them to meet the needs of the patients in a variety of approaches.

Patients attending intensive outpatient treatment at our outpatient rehab center typically attend therapy sessions and treatment for a few hours a day for a few days per week. Our outpatient detox program can provide the help needed to help overcome addiction.

In the event of a mental health crisis, we will facilitate a transfer to our inpatient psychiatric stabilization program to help patients regain stability in a more structured environment.
