Men’s Intensive Outpatient Program
Turning Point’s Men’s Intensive Outpatient Program (MIOP) is a uniquely designed program that provides the knowledge, skills, and support to patients to gradually transition back into everyday life as healthy and productive members of society. The MIOP is designed to provide longer term treatment to help patients break the cycle of relapse.
Our goal is to offer best practice treatment in the context of a therapeutic community. Persons likely to be successful at this level of care are those who do not require an inpatient setting, but would be at high risk of relapse without intense therapeutic support.
Average length of stay for the MIOP is six months. MIOP patients are typically required to live in the community. Apartments are available for rent.
MIOP Treatment components:
- Group Therapy
- Individual Counseling
- Family Education and Counseling
- Assistance with Coping, Problem Solving and Life Management Skills
- Anger Management
- Crisis Intervention
- 12-Step Facilitation
- Psychiatric Care
- Medication Management
